We are friends of handmade acoustic music in general and in particular
Friends of acoustic North American music, mostly african / Irish / Scottish Roots that have mixed in the Middle East of North America.
The songs that were written before the fifties of the 20th century,
are called "old-time music" or "mountain music".
From the fifties onwards in Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina the so-called Bluegrass was formed.
Music that gave traditional music a very specific sound. If you take
the music of the southern east (Cajun, Blues), one uses also gladly the
generic term "Americana".
We would like to promote this musical culture in North Hesse. We do this through concerts, jam sessions, the placement of teachers and also through camps, the to take place from 2018 onwards and general educational work at the events
and via the website.
