As the European Bluegrass Music Association (EBMA) celebrates its 25th anniversary and the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) marks 40 years, we’re bringing together the bluegrass community for the first European Bluegrass Summit in nearly a decade! This is your chance to connect with fellow musicians, promoters, and bluegrass lovers in a unique event designed to celebrate and grow bluegrass across Europe.
When: February 28th—March 2nd, 2025
Where: Orea Hotel Pyramida, Prague
Whether you play, promote, or just love bluegrass, we can’t wait to see you there! Expect exciting opportunities to jam, network and participate in insightful forums designed to take the European bluegrass community to the next level.
The Summit Weekend will also feature a special European Bluegrass Open Mic hosted by the EBMA and Czech Bluegrass Music Association on Friday night (click image below to apply for a slot), February 28th AND unforgettable concerts hosted by Capek Instruments on Saturday, March 1st and Sunday, March 2nd!

We’ve got lots of exciting events on the agenda for the 2025 European Bluegrass Summit! Here are some of the highlights:
Constituency Gatherings
We will be hosting special meet-ups for the bluegrass community to connect with other similarly-interested folks at The Summit. Whether you’re an artist, band manager, teacher, event organiser, booking agent, or bluegrass enthusiast at large – there is a constituency meet up for you!
Each of these meet-ups will be facilitated by the EBMA Board member(s) assigned to support this specialised area. We’ll talk about challenges, successes, ideas and other topics relevant to each area. We recognize that many folks wear multiple hats in our community and all Summit participants are encouraged to attend as many constituency gatherings as they’d like.
Panel Discussions and Q&As
Discussing European Approaches To Bluegrass
This keynote panel will highlight European artists and their approach to bluegrass. They’ll discuss artistic backgrounds, personal inspiration, techniques, creative practice, musical inspiration, and take questions from the audience.
Navigating the Scene: Perspectives on Playing Bluegrass in Europe
Our panelists will take questions and discuss their perspectives on getting gigs, organising travel, communicating about your work, and more!
Open Mic Night
The 2025 European Bluegrass Summit Open Mic is a performance opportunity for European artists joining the conference that will be held on Friday evening of the Summit weekend. This event is curated by the EBMA and CzBMA. If you have questions, please reach out to OS@ebma.org.

Concerts
We have two concerts over the weekend that will be hosted by Capek Instruments featuring amazing artists.
Tickets and ticket packages for these events will be managed by Capek Instruments. However, registered Summit attendees will have access to a block of discounted tickets for Saturday night! The featured artists and more information about tickets will be announced soon.
