La Roche Bluegrass Festival 2017 – Winning Bands

Joint Winners !

This evening, “Pine Marten” from Ireland together with “Le Chat Mort” from Sweden were declared joint winners of the band competition at the La Roche Bluegrass Festival. In third place was “Candy Floss” from the Slovak Republic.

First and second place prize money will be divided between the two bands and both have been invited to play at the Rapidgrass Bluegrass Festival in Colorado in June next year. 

All three bands are offed free EBMA membership for two years. 

Christopher Howard-Williams for La Roche and Mark Morris for the Rapidgrass Band and Festival explained that this year’s entries had been the most difficult to judge, with such high standards but differing styles from all eight participating bands.
